Owner and CEO of The Club Express Bus
Michael Rocks-Macqueen
-Owner/President Club Express LLC
- UND Student
-Background
The concept for the bus arose freshmen year during finals week in may with a random eBay search by a man known simply as Maikowski (who knows his real first name). Later that summer Mike bought a bus in Albuquerque and drove it up with Eric Bonn and Mathew Muñoz to the Great State of North Dakota. At the University of North Dakota he was fortunate enough to receive the Kurt Mueller Entrepreneur internship at the Center for Innovation were Bruce Gjovig provided the necessary coaching and a loan that was available due to the generous contribution provided by Bart and Lynn Holiday, who reside in Placitas, New Mexico 15 minutes away from were Rocks-Macqueen grew up.
Once these amazing opportunities became available the transformation began. With no car and one year: 50 yard of vinyl, pallets of wood, 400ft of wire, 3000 screws, 4,500 staples, and a few thousand man hours later Club Express LLC was born, and Rocks-Macqueen received Federal Motor Carrier Authority making history as the youngest known person to ever receive that authority!!!
